One of the most likable points about this is, the representation of the life beyond the border which is quite similar to us. The film’s story is set in both India and Pakistan. There are instances when one is reminded of Tanu Weds Manu too. This situational comedy is also high on Anand L Rai feel. The new movie is failing to give the essence of the earlier one. The movie has a huge caste, longer run-time and altogether a different storyline.
Despite being a comedy-drama there is barely comedy which makes you laugh by your soul, rather than this there are too many stuffed sequences which are supposed to the comedy scene in which you can barely laugh out loud, LOL. When this as a package, it becomes stretchy and non-sense to bare. In between all this, you get a bunch of Chinese characters who are fluent in speaking Hindi. The entire fuss that happens because of the mistaken-identities mainly occurs due to no logical reason. The storyline is taken forward in the new Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi.
